Mazda Suspension Bushings
Suspension bushings, some of the most highly stressed components fitted to your Mazda, undergo enormous strain, in the most grueling of conditions with no maintenance or lubrication.
OEM suspension bushings are manufactured from a rubber compound which deteriorates with age. They become softer and more pliable, resisting the forces applied less and less. These tired rubber pieces allow more and more movement of suspension components and offer less and less control over suspension geometry as they age.
Worn parts cause excessive tire wear, braking instability and poor handling. In fact, bushings are the single biggest reason you can instantly tell the difference between an older car and a new one. However, even new cars will benefit from POWERFLEX bushings because of their superior design; they offer much more effective control of the suspension components.
Powerflex bushings are made using a proprietary urethane material, which unlike many common "urethanes" in the market, overcome the common noise and harshness problems associated with harder bushings. By correctly engineering the polyurethane compound, bushings can be made 25-30% stiffer than new rubber items with the same noise absorbing properties.
